ISSA Quality

The ISSA Board believe that this is a major step forward in assisting its members in the shipping industry to conduct and improve their business and the Quality Standard has already been endorsed by Intermanager, the leading organisation dealing with ship management. Other influential bodies have also endorsed the concept in specific countries.

For all members of National Associations, the elected representative within the country will receive from the ISSA Quality Executive and pass out to all their members, the audit control document for action directly by each individual member. This, when completed, will be passed by e-mail directly from the individual member to the ISSA Quality Executive for assessment using the e-mail issaquality@lycosmax.co.uk .

For all Associate Members the ISSA Quality Executive will send directly to each member the audit control document for action by the individual member. Again when this is completed it should be sent directly to the ISSA Quality Executive for assessment using the e-mail issaquality@lycosmax.co.uk .

For all members who are successful on this assessment, they will receive an ISSA Quality certificate, individually numbered, valid for five years, subject to an annual review. In addition the company will be identified in the ISSA Register and on the ISSA website with a quality logo against their name indicating that they meet the requirements of the ISSA Quality Standard.

The charge for this assessment will be £225 and includes the ISSA Quality Certificate. The annual on-going assessment audit will be £125 and this will include the endorsement of the Certificate. Members already qualified to the ISO Quality Standard 9001:2000 will automatically receive the ISSA Certificate for an annual charge of £25
